SGAE copyright agency votes to remove director
Antón Reixa had been in job for a a year and was facing third confidence vote

The director of SGAE, Spain's main copyright collecting agency, Antón Reixa, has been removed from his post following a vote by board members.
Reixa had been in the job for a little over a year and was facing his third confidence vote during that period on Tuesday. The decision to oust the director was made by 25 votes to 12, with one abstention.
The SGAE has been mired in trouble since a wide-ranging corruption scandal broke in 2011, leading to the arrest of long-serving director Teddy Bautista and several of his colleagues. Upon taking over at the agency, Reixa promised a "new" SGAE but bitter divisions at board level left him in a quandary.
"There is a power struggle at SGAE that goes well beyond what is legitimate," Reixa told reporters as he left the body's Madrid headquarters Tuesday.
